Top Reasons to Support UofL Brown Cancer Center
We are committed to making cancer a disease of the past and easing the suffering of today’s patients and families. The Brown Cancer Center is working to achieve this through four distinct and interconnected pillars:
- Cancer Care
In 2020, we:
Treated more than 20,000 patients
Offered 114 clinical trials
Our researchers produced more than 154 cancer publications, 12 patents, and $13 million in peer-reviewed grants.
We have expanded our screening efforts and the Kentucky Cancer Program has worked with 12 community groups.
We have continued to educate the next generation of cancer doctors, nurses and social workers, and educated 52 trainees this year.
Philanthropy supports each of these pillars and YOU make this possible – your gifts reduce barriers for patients, you offer seed funding to researchers, you support screening efforts, you provide resources to our residents, and so much more.
Please read through our latest impact report for more information on the impact of philanthropy.
